Lynn Barton was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. He is the second of five siblings. During Lynn’s junior year of high school, his father got a new job in San Antonio, Texas. The move offered Lynn the opportunity to attend a high school with a strong agricultural program and FFA chapter.
After high school, he attended Utah State University for two terms then served a two year church mission in southern Germany. Lynn returned to Utah in ’93 where he met and married his wife, Becky.
Lynn established L&F Construction, Inc. in 1995 as a framing contractor and later became a general contractor. He owned and operated the company, for 15 years. In 2008, in the midst of the recession, he and his wife decided it was time make a change. He enrolled in Utah State’s pre-vet program. Lynn graduated from USU in 2011 and moved with his family to Missouri to attend MU College of Veterinary Medicine. He will graduate this May with the degree Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Lynn and Becky currently live in Fulton where she teaches 2nd grade at McIntire Elementary. Their son, Brayden, will be a senior and their twin daughters, Abby and Elise, will be freshmen at FHS for the 2016 school year.
In his free time, Lynn enjoys riding his horse Hank, hunting, building things out of wood or metal and pretty much anything he can do with his wife and kids.
